Warranty

OUR GOAL

We want you to adore your The Twelve pieces and with some subtle maintenance and care we expect our pieces to be able to hold your memories for years to come.

We are proud of the quality of our jewellery and offer a 180 day limited warranty on any manufacturing issues that may arise within this timeframe.

Our mission is to ensure that your experience with us here at The Twelve is a positive one and we aim to deliver the best customer service through each step.

COVERAGE

It's important to us to be as transparent as possible in regards to what our warranty covers.

Our 6 month warranty is to cover manufacturing faults only. This does not cover wear and tear of our pieces. Proper care and maintance link is crucial for extending the lifespan of all jewellery.

All claims must be actioned within this timeframe and may require an in person assessment. Postage costs to move forwards with these assessments are at customers cost.

Jumprings

Jump rings are the little ring that attach our chains and pendants together. Most are able to be opened and closed. Over time they may see wear that could lead to them opening slightly and these can easily be closed using a pair of pilers .LINK

It is rare for a jumpring to break, however if a jumpring breaks within this warranty we will happily fix it.

Clasps

Our clasps go through multiple testings before being deemed usable, however being something that could see use multiple times a day, the spring mechanism can give way and we will cover this within our 6 month warranty.

Should your clasp be damaged from misuse - such as standing on it - this is not covered.

CHAINS

Chain breaks can be tricky given our delicate style of jewellery. A necklace can suddenly snap if caught on a jacket, a child, play, gym etc. or from small pulls that damage it over time and then eventually snap.

All chains are quality checked by at least  before being dispatched. While we hope to catch any faults during this process there could be an instance that something slips through.

For all chain breaks we request to see the broken piece so we can determine if the break is due to wear & tear or a manufacturing fault. We can usually tell on inspection if a chain has broken from stress as the force will often distort the shapes of the links.

Should the break be deemed faulty then we will repair it free of charge within the warranty period however we are unable to offer a replacement under warranty if there is visible wear.

We do offer a replacement chain service for any breakages outside of warranty.

Please note, if the chain has been altered or added to this voids the warranty of the chain.

CRYSTALS/ GEMSTONES

While beautiful these pieces do require a little more cautiousness in their wear. Being tiny beads does leave them open to experience cracks from continual contact with hard surfaces, this is considered normal wear and tear and is not covered under our warranty.

Some beaded products are created using special wire. This wire is incredibly sturdy and we would not expect to see any breaks mid way in the piece. If the break in the wire falls at the clasp join, this item may be replaced once inspected within the warranty period.

PEARLS

While pearls are created in water, they do not have a long life when being exposed to water often.
They can discolour, or their surface become rough and this is not covered under warranty.

Check out our care page for more info on caring for your pearls.

RINGS

Our rings encapsulate our refined, dainty aesthetic to a tee. Due to this, our ring bands may mould to your finger when being worn often or if there is a slight pressure on the ring (such as being worn next to another ring, carrying heavy bags etc.) and this isn't something to be of concern.

While the ring shape may subtly change, this band itself will not break. If the ring band snaps, we would love to replace this for you under our 180 day warranty.

Caring for Your Gold-Filled Jewellery

To ensure the longevity of your gold-filled pieces:

  • Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals, saltwater, and heavy chlorines.
  • Gently clean your jewellery with a soft cloth and store it in a dry, protected area when not in use.
